
The travelling trader is a merchant who has a stock of standard items and legendary gear that players can acquire, should they come across them on the board. Injuries give negative effects that players will have to cope with for the rest of the game, making performing basic actions difficult and potentially affecting their final score.Īside from new punishments for dangerous behaviour, Blood Money includes fresh opportunities for players to get their hands on new gear and rewards. However, the consequences for rolling a negative outcome on the risk die are wounds, which can build up over time to have some nasty effects.īlood Money also adds injuries, gained whenever a player character takes a certain amount of wounds. Upping the stakes is a new risk die, which players can choose to roll during their turn in hopes of gaining additional rewards such as extra money, the chance to automatically move and the opportunity to draw a poker card, which enables the player to perform certain abilities. In the board game’s next expansion Blood Money, players face even greater dangers than those in the main game and previous expansion Ante Up, with bigger rewards on the line.īlood Money introduces several new concepts into the core experience of Western Legends. Gambling, fighting, robbing, prospecting and even driving cattle can help a player character to create a name for themselves as a moral lawkeeper or notorious bandit. Taking on the roles of famous cowpokes and gunslingers, players travel to various locations on the board in order to gather victory points and build their legendary status. Released in 2018, Western Legends is a board game inspired by western movies in which players explore the open plains, scorching deserts and seedy towns of the Old West in search of fame and fortune. You can also find Capitale all around the map in chests, secret stashes, side missions, the corpses of your enemies, and other nooks and crannies.Wild West adventure game Western Legends is coming to a close in its last major expansion, Blood Money. You can either choose to take on these crimes yourself or enlist up to 5 others in a posse to take back Martelli’s Capitale. Three additional Crime Contract missions are expected to release sometime later.

There are also three multi-part Crime Contract missions that will be available when the Blood Money update drops: The Jed Phelps Contract, The Railroad Contract, and The Bluewater Contract. These reprobates will show up as a dollar sign on the map and can be found in different locations across Great Plains, New Austin, Saint Denis, and New Hanover, respectively.Īs for what these Crimes entail, you can look forward to stagecoach robberies, hold-ups, kidnappings, and all sorts of unlawful activities. These crimes are missions given to you by minor characters from the single-player campaign such as Sean MacGuire, James Langton, Anthony Foreman, and Joe. These private bonds have fallen into the hands of individuals who don’t fit into Martelli and Bronte’s more sophisticated world of crime, so they want them back.īlood Money adds special crimes for you to commit that will earn you Capitale. Martelli’s role in this update is to hire your online outlaw avatar to recover a form of black-market currency known as Capitale. He’s the right-hand man for Angelo Bronte, who you may remember as the well-connected crime boss from the fourth chapter of Red Dead Redemption 2’s single-player campaign.
